Naphtali
Family: Jacob's family · Role: son of Jacob and Bilhah · First appears: The Birth Of Jacob's Children
Bilhah bore Jacob a second son, whom Rachel named Naphtali. During the War With The Ninevites, Naphtali and Dan rushed to aid Issachar and Gad. After Jacob and his sons routed the enemy, Naphtali went in search of Joseph, found him still fighting, and joined him until his attackers fled.
At Hazor, Naphtali followed Judah onto the city wall, where they fought from either side as Jacob’s sons conquered the city. Later, at Mount Seir, Jacob’s sons defeated Esau’s army and besieged the fugitives; Esau’s sons and the others eventually made peace and agreed to pay tribute.
