Báhrám

Family: Irán · Role: warrior · First appears: The Seven Labors of Rustem · Part 3

At Mázinderán, Báhrám was among the companions delighted to reunite with Rustem after he reached the city and freed Kai-káús. During the invasion of Irán by Afrásiyáb, Rustem captured the King of Misser and delivered him to Báhrám, who bound him and kept him by his side. Later, in the Story of Sohráb, Báhrám stood among the chiefs whom Kai-káús summoned to advise on defending against the invasion.

In the Story of Saiáwush, Saiáwush entrusted Báhrám with Balkh, the army, and treasure, to be delivered to Tús on his arrival. In Kai-khosráu, Báhrám sprang from ambush during Ferúd’s fight with Byzun and struck Ferúd on the head, killing him.
