Ferúd
Family: Túrán · Role: son of Gúlshaher · First appears: The Story of Saiáwush · Part 4
In the Story of Saiáwush, Gúlshaher, who had been left in her father’s house, gave birth to Ferúd. In Kai-khosráu, Kai-khosráu told Fríburz and Tús not to molest him, for he was also the son of Saiáwush, and not to pass through his possessions. But Tús led his force through Ferúd’s territory, and Ferúd opposed their passage. In the fighting, Ríú was killed; Tús then besieged Ferúd’s fort.
Ferúd sallied out against Tús, killing his horse and throwing him to the ground. From the fort he wounded Byzun with stones, forcing him to leave. In Kai-khosráu, Báhrám sprang from an ambush and struck Ferúd on the head, killing him. Seeing him dead, Gúlshaher plunged a dagger into her breast and died at his feet.
