Conn Crither

Family: Fianna · Role: watchman · First appears: The Fianna · The Battle of the White Strand · Conn Crither

At Traigh Moduirn, Conn Crither, son of Bran (son of Febal), routed the King of the Great Plain’s armies with the Druid army and pursued them, killing and destroying. After fighting the king “a good part of the day,” he struck off his head. At Teamhair Luachra, Glas, Son of Bremen recognized Conn as being “of the one blood with myself”; they joined forces, killed strangers sent against them, and Conn was later healed of his wounds in the well of healing.

When the Fianna vowed to defend Ireland, Credhe gave them battle dress and accompanied them with cattle, providing milk and a place for the wounded to heal through the battle, which lasted a year and a day. When Caoilte, Oisin and Lugaidh's Son attacked strangers who had come ashore, Conn and Glas heard the blows and joined them, helping destroy every one of the invaders.
