Apollos
Family: Christian · Role: teacher · First appears: Acts 18
In Acts 18 at Ephesus, Aquila and Priscilla took Apollos in and instructed him more fully in the way of God. When he came to Achaia, he was received there and greatly helped those who believed.
In 1 Corinthians 3, Paul and Apollos were described as ministers through whom the Corinthians believed: Paul planted, Apollos watered, and God gave the increase, for they were “labourers together with God.” In 1 Corinthians 16, Paul greatly desired Apollos to visit the Corinthians, but Apollos declined at that time and intended to come when he had a convenient opportunity. In Titus 3, Paul instructed Titus to bring Apollos and Zenas safely on their journey.
