Abel
Role: son of Adam and Eve · First appears: Fratricide
Abel was born in Adamah, together with a twin sister destined to be his wife. Adam separated him and Cain into separate abodes and taught them different occupations: Abel kept sheep, while Cain worked the ground. Eve had dreamed that Cain drank Abel’s blood as Abel entreated him not to take all, and Cain desired Abel’s twin sister.
On the fourteenth day of Nisan, Abel offered the best of his flock, while Cain’s offering was rejected. Cain’s hostility toward Abel had more than one cause; one day he slew him, pelting his body with stones until one struck his neck and killed him. Adam buried Abel after seeing a raven bury a dead bird. Later, the angels carried Adam and Abel to Paradise and buried them together.
