John (kindred of the high priest)
Family: Jewish authorities · Role: member of the high priest's kindred · First appears: Acts 4
At Jerusalem, on the morrow, John joined Annas, Caiaphas, Alexander, and the rest of the high priest’s kindred as they gathered to question Peter and John, the son of Zebedee about their healing power. The council then commanded them, “not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.”
John and the other council members further threatened Peter and John, the son of Zebedee, but released them because they found no way to punish them and the people glorified God for what had been done.
