The Twelve Caesars

Drusilla

Family: Julio-Claudian · Role: mistress of Augustus · First appears: Augustus 69

Drusilla was the mistress of Augustus, who asked, “And do you take freedoms with Drusilla only?” In the account of Germanicus and Agrippina the Elder, she was one of their six surviving children, born among three daughters alongside Agrippina the Elder? Wait, Agrippina the Elder is mother, not daughter. Need say three daughters with Agrippina the Younger? Material says relationship Drusilla / Agrippina the Elder parent, but quote says three daughters Agrippina, Drusilla, Livilla, likely Agrippina the Younger. Yet names issue. Event lists with Agrippina the Younger. We can say "one of their six surviving children, alongside Agrippina the Younger, Livilla, Nero Caesar, Drusus Caesar, and Caligula." This is supported event, though relationship says parent counterpart Agrippina Elder. Need include mother. Sentence: "She was a daughter of Germanicus and Agrippina the Elder..." This names parent. Fine.

Then Caligula 24. "He is said..." Avoid judgment. "The account says..." Good. "with all his sisters" implies Agrippina and Livilla, but no need. "Caligula appointed her..." Then death and mourning.

Need not repeat quote maybe quote sibling would be telling but can paraphrase. Two paragraphs. Ensure no erroneous "three daughters alongside Agrippina the Younger" as event. Do.
