Family: Lacedaemonians · Role: ambassador · First appears: Book 5 · Chapter 16 · Part 4
At Panactum, Andromedes and fellow Lacedaemonian ambassadors Phaedimus and Antimenidas discovered that the Boeotians had razed the place, citing an ancient agreement with the Athenians that neither side would inhabit it and both would graze it. They received the Athenian prisoners of war from the Boeotians and conveyed them to Athens, where the Athenians, angered by what they saw as Lacedaemon’s failure to keep its compact, dismissed the ambassadors with an angry answer.
