Role: wife of Lamech; mother of Jabal and Jubal · First appears: The Descendants Of Cain

In the account of Cain’s descendants, Adah was one of Lamech (Cain's descendant)’s two wives, alongside Zillah. When the wives wanted to separate from Lamech, they brought their case to Adam, who decided in Lamech’s favor. The account also says that, in the generation of the Deluge, Lamech had two wives for different purposes.

Adah bore Lamech two sons, Jabal and Jubal; Zillah bore Tubal-cain and Naamah.
