Mailepakaha

In Chapter VIII, Mailepakaha left Kauai with her brother Aiwohikupua and their sisters as they set out to seek Laieikawai. In Chapter IX, she went to get Laieikawai as a wife for her brother, but Laieikawai refused; after Aiwohikupua left the sisters behind, they agreed to follow him, though he sailed on without them.

In Chapter XIV, Mailepakaha was a guardian whom Hauailiki and his companion persuaded to let them pass. Later, Kahalaomapuana told Kaonohiokala that Mailepakaha had gone to woo Laieikawai for Aiwohikupua and had been refused. In Chapter XXXI, Mailepakaha was made governor on Hawaii.
