Polyphron

Family: Thessalians · Role: brother of Jason and Polydorus; prince of Thessaly · First appears: Book 6, section 4, part 3/3

After Jason died, Polyphron and Polydorus were appointed princes in his place. As they journeyed to Larissa, Polydorus was slain in the night as he slept; it was thought that Polyphron killed him.

While governing for a year, Polyphron put Polydamas and eight other leading citizens to death in Pharsalus, and drove many people into exile from Larissa. Alexander then killed him to avenge Polydorus and end the tyranny.
