Ket

Also known as: Ket, the son of Mata · Family: Connaught · Role: warrior · First appears: Mac Datho's Boar · Part 1

Ket is identified as “Ket, the son of Mata” from Connaught. In Mac Datho’s Boar, he recounts killing three warriors from Munremur’s lands, including Munremur’s firstborn son, and says his spear wound left Celtchar diseased and without children. At the borderland, he says a spear-thrust through Cuscrid’s throat left him unable to speak plainly and gave him the name Cuscrid the Stammerer.

At the palace, Ket and Conall Cernach contend over the Boar. Conall throws Anluan’s head at Ket, striking his chest and spattering his lips with blood; Ket then leaves the Boar, and Conall takes his place beside it.
