Herod the tetrarch

Family: Roman · Role: tetrarch · First appears: Luke 3

In Luke 3, Herod the tetrarch was tetrarch of Galilee, while his brother Philip was tetrarch of Ituraea. He was reproved by John the Baptist for Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife, and for the evils he had done; “Added yet this above all, that he shut up John in prison.”
