Tó`nenili
Also known as: Water Sprinkler · First appears: Origin Legend III: The War Gods · Part 10
In Origin Legend III: The War Gods · Part 10, Tónenili and [[Tsápani]] entered the house of the Sun after the lightning flash, saying they had flung the lightning because they were happy and wanted to play. He and [[Tsápani]] had once been friends of the anáye and did not want them to die; after [[Nayénezgani]] and [[Tobadzistsíni]] conquered the greatest of the anáye, they became friends of the brothers.
In Nati'nesthani · Part 4, Tónenili went beneath the water at Tóhodotliz and found that Nati'nesthani had disappeared from the log. He asked Tiéholtsodi to release him, calling him “my grandchild”—words of respect—but Tiéholtsodi refused. Hastsézini took Tónenili with him into the river to recover Nati'nesthani; after Hastsézini extinguished the fire, Tónenili opened his jars and scattered water, and the flames died out.
