Orion
First appears: The Astronomy
Orion was the son of Euryale, daughter of Minos, and Poseidon; he was given the power to walk upon waves as though upon land.
When he came to Chios, Orion, while drunk, outraged Merope, daughter of Oenopion. Oenopion blinded him and cast him out of the country. In her anger, Earth sent a giant scorpion against him, and its sting killed him.
