In Chapter IV · Kralyevitch Marko; or, the Royal Prince Marko, Petrovitch notes that one tradition makes Marko the son of King Voukashin and Queen Helen, whom Serbian troubadours called Yevrossima. In Chapter IV · Prince Marko's Wedding Procession, delighted by Marko’s choice for marriage, she prepared the usual presents that very night.
In Chapter XI · The Marriage of King Voukashin, she tore her hair from a beam and lowered linen over the wall to help her brother Momtchilo escape. At Skadar on Boyana, King Voukashin led her to his palace; he later married her, and she bore him Marko and Andrias.
