Túr
Family: Túrán · Role: son of Feridún · First appears: Feridún and his Three Sons · Part 1
When Feridún’s sons had grown up, he sent Túr, Sílim, and Irij to Yemen, where they married the king’s three daughters. Afterwards, Feridún divided his empire among them, giving Túr Túrán, Sílim Rúm and Kháwer, and Irij Irán. When Irij received Irán, Túr joined Sílim in their plan to deprive him of his dominions. Their armies were ready when Irij arrived in Turkistán, and the brothers received him kindly at the royal residence.
There, Túr drew his dagger and killed Irij, then embalmed his head and sent it to Feridún with a cruel message. Later, Túr and Sílim sought forgiveness and peace, but Feridún rejected their appeal and threatened vengeance. The brothers gathered an army and advanced toward Irán; in the ensuing battle, Minúchihr threw Túr from his saddle and severed his head from his body. The routed army’s leading warriors sought Minúchihr’s protection, and its forces united under him.
