Kahram

Family: Chín and Má-chín · Role: son of Arjásp · First appears: Gushtásp, and the Faith of Zerdusht · Part 3

In the Story of Gushtásp, and the Faith of Zerdusht, Arjásp sent his son Kahram with an army toward the capital to avenge himself. At Balkh, Kahram captured the people, destroyed their places of worship, killed the keeper of the altar, and burned the Zendavesta; his forces then helped defeat Gushtásp, who took refuge in a mountain-fort.

Later, Arjásp sent Kahram to resist Isfendiyár. Isfendiyár routed the division under Kahram; in the Story of the Capture of the Brazen Fortress, he defeated Kahram in personal combat and killed him.
