Earl of Comminges

Also known as: Count de Comminges · Family: France · Role: lord · First appears: Book 1, Chapter 33

In 1344, Count de Lisle summoned the Earl of Comminges and other French-aligned lords to assemble at Bergerac and defend the river crossing against the English. They gathered their dependants and advanced into the town’s suburbs. Earlier, at Auberoche, Count de Lisle had also summoned him to join the forces gathering to besiege the town; the lords obeyed, as Count de Lisle “was as a king in these parts of Gascony.”
