Aristonymus
Family: Corinthian · Role: father of Euphamidas · First appears: Book 2 · Chapter 6 · Part 5
At Scione, Aristonymus excluded the town from the armistice after deciding that it had revolted after the convention’s date. Brasidas objected and refused to surrender it, so Aristonymus reported the dispute to Athens; the people then prepared an expedition to Scione.
Aristonymus was the father of Euphamidas, who later commanded a force that sailed over, restored him, and began the voyage home after an unsuccessful attempt to gain places on the Acarnanian coast.
