Cormac

Also known as: Cormac the Partner of Exile · Family: Connaught · Role: king Conor's son · First appears: The Exile of the Sons of Usnach · Glenn Masain Version · Part 1

In the Glenn Masain version of The Exile of the Sons of Usnach, on the day after the sons of Usnach were slain, Cormac the Partner of Exile—Conor’s son—joined Fergus mac Rog, Dubhtach and their armies in battle against Conor’s household. They killed Maine (son of Conor, Tale 016) and three hundred others, then destroyed and burned Emain Macha and killed Conor’s women.

Cormac and his warriors went with Fergus to Connaught, where Ailill and Maev welcomed and supported them. Afterward, Cormac and Fergus led repeated raids into Ulster, subduing Cualgne; they spent “seven years, or, as some say, ten years” there.
