Birsha
Family: Gomorrah · Role: king · First appears: Genesis 14
Birsha was king of Gomorrah. In Genesis 14, at the vale of Siddim, the kings who had served Chedorlaomer rebelled against him after twelve years, in the thirteenth year; Bera, Shinab, and Shemeber were with Chedorlaomer in this event.
The same chapter records that Amraphel, Arioch, Chedorlaomer, and Tidal made war against Bera and Birsha, among the kings of the region: “That these made war with Bera king of Sodom, and with Birsha king of Gomorrah, Shinab king of Admah, and Shemeber king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela, which is Zoar.”
