Hesiod and Homerica

Memnon

Family: Trojans · First appears: The Aethiopis

In The Aethiopis, Memnon, the son of Eos, comes to help the Trojans wearing armour made by Hephaestus. Achilles kills Memnon in battle, after which Eos obtains immortality from Zeus and bestows it upon her son. In The Cercopes, the mother of Passalus and Acmon is identified as “a daughter of Memnon,” but the material does not say when this relationship occurs.
