Tychicus

Family: Christian · Role: travelling companion of Paul · First appears: Acts 20

In Acts 20, Tychicus accompanied Paul into Asia alongside other companions. By Ephesians 6, Paul described him as “a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord” and sent him to inform the recipients about their affairs and comfort them.

In Colossians 4, Paul again sent Tychicus to learn the believers’ condition and comfort them, while Tychicus and Onesimus were to report everything happening there. Later, Paul sent Tychicus to Ephesus in 2 Timothy 4; in Titus 3, he was one of the people Paul might send to Titus, who was to come to Paul at Nicopolis.
