Timon
Family: disciples · Role: chosen servant · First appears: Acts 6
In Acts 6, in those days, Timon was chosen among seven men to oversee the daily ministration, alongside Stephen, Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Parmenas, and Nicolas. The multitude’s choice named them together: “and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:”
The appointed men were then set before the apostles, who prayed and laid their hands on them: “Whom they set before the apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid their hands on them.”
