the younger son (Addik Kum Maig legend)

Role: son · First appears: Addik Kum Maig; or, the Origin of the White Fish

In Addik Kum Maig; or, the Origin of the White Fish, the younger son and his elder brother were left in the lodge while their father, the famous hunter (Addik Kum Maig legend), hunted. The elder son urged him not to tell their father about the things they saw and heard. At length, the sons told their father about their mother’s secret visits, revealing her infidelity.

After their mother, the handsome wife (Addik Kum Maig legend), died, her spirit haunted and terrified her sons. At Pauwateeg, they called to the crane (Addik Kum Maig legend) for help, and it carried them safely across the falls to escape her.
