Shemhazai

First appears: The Punishment Of The Fallen Angels

At Mount Hermon, Shemhazai was among the two hundred angels who descended and swore to carry out their plan. The fallen angels taught people weapons-making, adornment, and occult arts; afterward, God permitted Shemhazai and Azazel to live among humans. Though Istehar was placed among the Pleiades for keeping herself from sin, Shemhazai and Azazel entered into alliances with human women, and Shemhazai’s sons Hiwwa and Hiyya were born.

Shemhazai then did penance, suspending himself between heaven and earth, where the account says he “hangs to this day.” Michael had Shemhazai and his ilk witness the deaths of their children in combat, then bound them beneath the hills of the earth for seventy generations, until the day of judgment.
