Anne Mortimer
Also known as: Anne or Agnes · Family: England · Role: daughter · First appears: Richard II 29
Anne Mortimer, also known as Agnes, was a daughter of Roger Mortimer, Earl of March and a sibling of Edmund Mortimer, Roger Mortimer, Alice Mortimer, and Eleanor Mortimer. The family record states, “This Roger earle of March had issue Edmund, Roger, Anne, Ales, & Eleanor”.
Around 1385, Anne, described as the eldest of the daughters, married Richard of Conisburgh, Earl of Cambridge. They had Richard Plantagenet, Duke of York and Isabel of Cambridge. She was also married to Laurence Hastings, Earl of Pembroke, by whom she had John Hastings, Earl of Pembroke. In the Henry VI material, around 1460, Anne is again recorded as having married Richard of Conisburgh, Earl of Cambridge.
