Role: wife · First appears: Chapter XII

In Chapter XII, the merchant’s wife escaped on a plank after a sea-monster upset her husband’s ship and he perished. The wind drove her to Kaśerudvīpa, where the bird-king Suparṇa made her his wife. She bore him first a very beautiful boy, then a young bird son.
