Constantine, son of Helena
Also known as: Constantine · Family: Britons · Role: son of Constantius and Helena, king of Britain · First appears: Book V 4–7
Constantine was the son of Constantius and Helena. After eleven years, Constantius died at York and bestowed the kingdom of Britain upon him; he was then named as the one person who could restore what Britain had lost by driving out Maxentius.
Constantine later marched to Rome, conquered it, and obtained the empire of the whole world. In that expedition he advanced Leolin, Trahern, and Marius, Helena’s uncles, to the rank of senators; Leolin was also his elder kin. Maximian was his cousin, and later Arthur named Constantine and Maximian as kinsmen who both wore the crown of Britain and gained the imperial throne of Rome.
