Role: daughter · First appears: Chapter XXX
Born to the householder and his wife in the hill district, the daughter had not been promised to anyone when her father told the orphan son of a householder, “I will give you my daughter to wife.” At a large assembly, however, he publicly refused, calling the youth a day-labourer.
On the seventh day at the king’s palace, after the oxen bore witness, the king ordered the householder to give his daughter to the youth. The householder then gave her in marriage to The orphan son of a householder.
