Louhi's second daughter
Family: Pohjola · Role: Louhi's second daughter · First appears: Runo XXXVIII · Ilmarinen's New Bride from Pohjola · Part 1
In Runo XXXVIII, after Ilmarinen tells Louhi that his wife has died, he asks for Louhi's second daughter in her place. Louhi refuses, regretting that she gave him her other daughter, but Ilmarinen seizes the maiden and carries her off in his sledge despite her refusal.
During the journey, she struggles until her fingers break and her hands are twisted, and says she will hide in the clouds if he will not release her. As they travel, another than her husband makes her laugh while Ilmarinen sleeps; then he sings her into a seamew, to cry and struggle against the winds around the cliffs and headlands.
