Milo

First appears: The Civil War, Book III, 21–28

In Book III of The Civil War, Marcus Caelius Rufus joined Milo and sent him to Thurinum to stir up the shepherds. Milo wrote to the free towns claiming he acted on Pompey’s orders, conveyed through Bibulus; the text also says Milo had murdered Clodius and been condemned for it.

While assaulting Cosa, commanded by Quintus Pedius with one legion, Milo was struck by a stone thrown from the town wall and died.
