the young warrior (Myth 84)
Role: warrior · First appears: Myth 84 · The Man Who Married the Thunder's Sister
In Myth 84, at the old town of Sâkwi'yi, the young warrior fell in love with the younger woman because of her beautiful hair and asked her to marry him through an old man. She said her brother must first be consulted; seven nights later, she and the other sister told him their brother agreed and would take him home.
After dancing, the sisters led him away before daylight and along an unfamiliar trail to their cave at Ugûñ'yi. There he met the brother, one of the Thunder People, who called him a coward and struck him with lightning and thunder, leaving him senseless. Back at his settlement, the warrior told his friends what had happened despite the warning, and died seven days later.
