Conan of Ceann Slieve
Role: host at Ceann Slieve · First appears: The Fianna · Huntings and Enchantments · The Wedding at Ceann Slieve · Part 1
At Ceann Slieve, Conan of Ceann Slieve hosted Finn and Diorraing, giving them a welcome, taking their arms and preparing a feast. When Finn asked him for his daughter Finndealbh as his wife, Conan of Ceann Slieve said she was promised to Fatha, son of the King of Ess Ruadh, and told Finn that the man’s courage was no less than his own. He then put Finn under bonds to answer everything he would ask, and Finn agreed.
Later, at Conan of Ceann Slieve’s house, Finn was seated beside the door, with Goll on his right and Finndealbh on his left; the rest took their accustomed places.
