Leto
Family: Olympian · Role: goddess · First appears: Book 1 · Chapter 18
At the Hyperborean regions, Ilithyia came to assist Leto during childbirth. In Book 2, Chloris and Amyclas (son of Amphion) were the only children of Niobe and Amphion to survive Apollo and Artemis’s slaughter, having supplicated Leto.
At Delphi in Book 10, Leto joined Apollo and Artemis in shooting Tityus, who was left wounded. Other accounts place altars to Leto with her children at Zoster, say Cœus was her father, and describe her as raising Carneus (son of Crius).
