Xenophon's Hellenica

Aristoteles

Role: Athenian exile · First appears: Book 2, section 2, part 1/2

At Sparta, Lysander sent Aristoteles, an Athenian exile, with Lacedaemonians to report to the ephors how Lysander had answered Theramenes about who held supreme authority over peace and war. In the following-year account, Aeschines and Aristoteles went to Lacedaemon and persuaded Lysander to support sending a Lacedaemonian garrison to Athens.

Later, Aristoteles and Melanthius, Aristarchus and others, acting as generals, were minded to build a fortified stronghold on the mole to admit the enemy.
