Peepi-geewi-zains

Also known as: the Pigeon Hawk · Role: youngest young falcon · First appears: The Six Hawks; or, Broken Wing

In “The Six Hawks; or, Broken Wing,” Peepi-geewi-zains was a young falcon whose prey was stolen by Ko-ko-ko-ho. His brother Meeji-geeg-wona recovered from his wound and went hunting with him, saying, “Well! don't despair, brother,” before helping him face the owl.

After two nestmates returned from the south, the family was reunited; each bird soon chose a mate and flew away.
