Lord of Boucicault

Family: France · Role: baron · First appears: Book 1, Chapter 73

In Book 1, Chapter 73, as English and French forces fought near Romorantin and the French retreated toward the town and castle, the Lord of Boucicault served with Lord of Craon and Hermit of Chaumont, sent by the King of France to defend the frontiers and observe the English.

In Chapter 74, Sir John Chandos conveyed the Prince of Wales’s offer of mercy if the defenders surrendered. The Lord of Boucicault refused, saying, “we are determined to defend ourselves.” The castle’s defenders later surrendered, and the prince took Boucicault, Craon, and the Hermit of Chaumont prisoner.
