Gods and Fighting Men

Miochaoin

Role: guardian of the hill · First appears: The Gods · Lugh of the Long Hand · The Sons of Tuireann · Part 7

As guardian of the hill, Miochaoin came towards Brian when he arrived, and the two fought “like the fight of two lions” until Miochaoin fell. His sons Core, Conn (son of Miochaoin) and Aedh (son of Miochaoin) also fought the sons of Tuireann; they drove their spears through one another, and the sons of Miochaoin fell into the clouds in the faintness of death.
