Gods and Fighting Men

Cu

Role: son of Cainte · First appears: The Gods · Lugh of the Long Hand · The Sons of Tuireann · Part 1

Cu was one of the three sons of Cainte, with Ceithen, and the brother of Cian. Cu and his brothers were enemies of Brian and Tuireann and their kin, and whenever the two sides met, fighting was sure to follow. When Lugh sought help against the Fomor, Cu, Cian and Ceithen promised to keep a hundred opponents each from him in battle; at Lugh’s request, they instead undertook to gather the Riders of the Sidhe.
