Moses is a servant of God who, in the days of old, led Israel by the right hand of Moses as God divided the waters and guided them through the deep. At Egypt, God brought Israel out of the house of servants and sent Moses before them with Aaron and Miriam.

In Jeremiah, God names Moses alongside Samuel in speaking of the people. Daniel recalls “the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God,” while at Horeb God commanded Moses to give Israel the law with its statutes and judgments: “Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.”
