The lion (Chapter 026)

Also known as: lion · Role: lion · First appears: Chapter XXVI

In Chapter XXVI, the lion fell into a pit with The man who fell into the pit, The mouse, and The falcon. The hunter drew the lion out first; the lion touched his feet, promised gratitude, and warned him not to rescue “that black-headed one who forgets accepted benefits.” The others were then freed, and the lion departed.

One day, the lion recognised The hunter, touched his feet, and gave him a gazelle in gratitude for the rescue. He called The man who fell into the pit, The mouse, The falcon, and The hunter his comrades.
