The Cattle-Raid of Cualnge

Gaile-dana

First appears: Continuation (from the Yellow Book of Lecan)

At Fuilcarnn in “Continuation (from the Yellow Book of Lecan),” Gaile-dana came with his twenty-seven sons and his sister’s son Glas Mac Delgna. “On the morrow,” they threw twenty-nine spears at Cuchulainn at once. When they threatened him, Fiacha Mac Fir-Febe leapt from his chariot and struck off the attackers’ arms; Cuchulainn then slew the twenty-nine men and the two sons of Ficce with them.
