Mugain
Family: Ulstermen · First appears: Here are His Boyish Deeds · Part 5
In Fiacha Mac Fir-Febe’s account in “Here are His Boyish Deeds · Part 5,” when Cuchulainn came to Emain in his seventh year, Mugain, wife of Conchobar, met him with the women, who bared their breasts before him. Mugain told him, “These are the warriors who will meet you to-day.”
After the heroes seized and cooled Cuchulainn in a vessel, Mugain clothed him in a blue mantle, a silver-brooched garment and a hooded tunic. He sat at Conchobar’s knee, and that remained his couch thereafter.
