Diocles

Role: tamer of horses · First appears: Book 2 · Chapter 14

Diocles, a tamer of horses, was taught by Demeter the performance of her rites and mysteries, alongside Triptolemus, Eumolpus, and Celeus: “She shewed Triptolemus, and Diocles tamer of horses, and powerful Eumolpus, and Celeus leader of the people, the due performance of her rights and mysteries”.
