In Fragments of the Lay of Sigurd and Brynhild, Budli went with his daughter Brynhild to King Giuki’s palace. The First Lay of Sigurd Fafnicide identifies Brynhild as Budli’s daughter, while the Third Lay identifies Atli as his son. In the Groenland Lay of Atli, Hialli is described as Budli’s cook.
