Laeg

Family: Ulstermen · Role: charioteer · First appears: The Sick-bed of Cuchulain · Part 2

In the earlier thread of The Sick-bed of Cuchulain, Laeg returned to Emain and reported what he had seen to Cuchulain and the others. The story then breaks at the Bull-Feast and resumes from another version: there, Cuchulain sent Laeg to tell Emer that he was ill and ask her to come, and Laeg told her of his condition.

In The Combat at the Ford, Cuchulain called Laeg his friend as he watched Ferdia’s feats. At Cuchulain’s request, Laeg stripped Ferdia’s body and removed his armour and garments; he also opened the body and drew out the Gae-Bulg.
