the youngest brother (Chapter 008)
Role: youngest of ten brothers · First appears: Great Head
The youngest brother was the tenth of ten boys. After their father and mother died, he and his brothers were left with their aged uncle. One by one, his brothers disappeared while searching for those who had gone before, until the youngest remained at home with his uncle; he had been forbidden to leave lest he too be lost.
One day, the youngest brother and his uncle found a man buried in the earth and restored him to consciousness. The man told them of the nine brothers’ mysterious disappearance. On the morrow, the youngest agreed to go with Great Head to the witch’s abode, where they killed her. Great Head then called the nine brothers to awake, and they rose and rejoiced at seeing their youngest brother again.
